We're a Kiwi couple who currently call Auckland home. We came up with the idea for this website in Siem Reap when we were trying to find other travellers to share a taxi to the Thai border. We've created the website to help fellow travellers buy and sell vehicles, find accommodation and discover some of the more unusual aspects of New Zealand by visiting unusual cafes and staying in unusual accommodation.
We've called it a Curious Guide because we are focusing on providing unique travel information like our Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch $10 guides, these guides list over 170 attractions in NZ. The Chocolate Directory has a list of chocolate shops around the country with some sweet information on the side and the Festivals list shows you where you can celebrate Kiwi style throughout the year. In addition there are links to many other websites that will assist both international and domestic travellers to learn more about what New Zealand has to offer.
